I recently held a Celebration of Life at The Lodge at Seven Oaks, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about both the venue and the staff. From the start, Heidi, the event coordinator, was friendly, helpful, and patient — exactly what I needed during a difficult time when my focus was on my family. She made the entire planning process simple and stress-free, even going above and beyond by reaching out to her personal contacts to help us secure a caterer on one of the busiest weekends of the year.
The lodge itself is beautiful; high ceilings, warm knotty wood walls and large windows showcasing the stunning views of the ski and tubing slopes. I was initially concerned that the space might feel too large for our small group, but Heidi thoughtfully arranged the layout to make it comfortable and intimate — even creating a lovely area for a musical performance by our violinists.
The facilities are immaculate and well-maintained, including a welcoming entrance area, spacious restrooms, a full kitchen, a beautiful bar, an outdoor patio with a fire pit, and built-in technology for slideshow presentations or music, and plenty of parking adjacent to the accessible entrance. Their flexible contract options makes it easy to choose the level of support you need, whether DIY setup/ clean-up or full-service assistance, as well as the option to rent decor, linens, and equipment. Seven Oaks allows plenty of time and access to the Lodge, both before and during the event, which gave me peace of mind that even if the weather did not cooperate for our outdoor activities, we would still have a "home base"!
Our guests were so impressed by the setting and the views. I truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. I’m deeply grateful to Heidi and the team at Seven Oaks for helping create such a meaningful and beautiful gathering, and I highly recommend this venue for any special event. I look forward to returning to Boone and Seven Oaks Recreation again in the future.
